The Lake Houston Conquerors - is a Christian Homeschool Sports Program dedicated to the training and development of our children in a Godly and competitive environment.  We are a competitive program teaching and encouraging our student athletes to offer their best in all that they do.

“…whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him.” - Colossians 3:17

As a Competitive Program

The Lake Houston Conquerors program is a competitive sports program intending to offer our best and playing time is at the sole discretion of the coach, based on his/her discretion to field the most competitive team possible.  Playing time is not guaranteed or equally applied.

BASKETBALL TEAM ROSTERS

All interested players must participate in the first 4 practices as these practices will be used to evaluate player skill and development for placement on the team roster.  If a player is not present for these practices he/she will not be guaranteed a place on a roster regardless of his/her performance or team placement in the past.

10U & 12U Teams

Teams will consist of 8-12 players (understanding that these teams need more development the teams will carry up to 12 players if players are available)

14U, 16U, 18U Teams

Teams will consist of 8-10 players (if an age group has 10 players but the coach determines that only 8 or 9 players are developed enough to compete at their assigned age level the coach can choose to carry only 8 or 9. The coach is not required to accept 10 players on a team.)

Varsity Team

Will consist of 8-10 players compiled of players from 16U and 18U age groups.  (The team can consist of anywhere from 8-10 players and is not required to carry 9 or 10 even if only 9 or 10 sign up.)

Q: How do I register?                                                                                              A: You can register on line at our website: www.lhconquerors.org and pay on line as well or you can print out a registration form and mail in your form and a check for payment.

Q: Who do I make my check out to?
A: LHC and mail your check and registration to:

LHC
P.O. Box 5018
Kingwood, TX 77325

Q: Who is LHC?
A: LHC stands for the Lake Houston Conquerors. LHC is a non-profit 501c3 organization which means donations to the program are tax deductible.  However, registration and other program fees are not considered donations.

Q: How much are my basketball fees?
A: $400 for ages 9-12 (as of 9-01-18) and $500 for ages 13-18 (as of 9-01-18). This does not include the cost of the uniforms which will be purchased later. Uniform costs are estimated to be in the range of $65-$90 depending on the age group.  Varsity teams may have the additional cost of purchasing team sweat suits.

Q: When is payment due?
A: Full payment is due by August 27, 2018.

Q: What if there is not a team?
A: Every effort will be made to make a team. We will pull up from younger age groups if possible, to fill a team. BUT we will not deplete the younger team to fill the older team. We will ask younger players to play on two teams. IF no team is made due to lack of registrations, then your fees will be returned.

Q: Are there tryouts?
A: Yes, the coaches will assess the players abilities during the first 4 practices and select their roster numbering between 8-10 players. However, the coach is not required to carry a full roster if he/she feels a player is not developed enough to compete at their age level.

Q: Why set limits?
A: This allows the coaches to develop the players better. The smaller team sizes offer the teams a more manageable size allowing for more playing time for each member of the team as well as improving the opportunities for player development.

Q: When are practices?
A: Our first practice is August 27, 2018. There will be two practices a week (Monday & Thursday) until games begin per court availability. Once games begin we will try to still have a practice once a week but not at the expense of missing an opportunity to play a game.

Q: When do games start and finish?
A: Games usually start the first week of November, but occasionally we might have a late October game. We end our season with the Big South Regional Championship in Mansfield & Fort Worth, TX, February 21-23, 2018. There is a possibility that our Varsity teams will attend the Homeschool Basketball Nationals in Springfield, MO, March 11-15, 2019.

Q: Who are the coaches and assistant coaches for each of the teams?
A: Feel free to email sportslhc@gmail.com for a list of coaches.
