Vball info

The Lake Houston Conquerors offer competitive homeschool volleyball with a Christian spirit. Our goal is to utilize volleyball to build character, surround our children with Godly mentors who will sew into their lives, and to be faithful witnesses of our Christian faith.

Clinics begin in March with team assignments coming after tryouts/assessments in mid-July. Regular season practices begin in late July with games starting around the first of August. The season culminates the first weekend in October with our teams participating in a homeschool Regional tournament held in the DFW area. In the future we hope to have some of our teams go on to compete in the NCHVC National tournament held annually in Springfield, MO. in mid-October

LHC will work to accommodate as many girl teams from 14U to 16U as we have qualified, parent coaches who volunteer.  Regardless of whether your athlete is a novice beginner or a highly-skilled veteran of the game, we encourage players of ALL skill levels to come give LHC a try.

VOLLEYBALL FAQs
Vball FAQ's

Where are practices and clinics held?

Practices, clinics and home games are held at the Revolution Gym, 23251 Ford Road, Porter, TX

Exception: For the month of July we will be at Christian Life Center , 804 Russell Palmer Road, Kingwood, TX

Where are games played?

Games are played in the greater Houston area against other homeschool teams and private school teams.  It is our goal to keep the travel distance to within 60 miles from the home gym.

How much are the volleyball registration fees?

Registration fees will be $250 for developmental team(s) which includes 12 year olds (as of 8/31/23) and older, and $350 for competitive teams ages 13-18 (as of 8/31/23) and Under. This does not include the cost of the uniforms which will be purchased later. Uniform costs are estimated to be in the range of $65-$90 depending on the age group/team.

How do I register?

Parents of the athletes who made the team will register their athlete in person at the first practice on Friday, July 21st where they will receive the necessary forms and payment options.  Once forms are completed and payment made, then the athlete may participate in the program.

Are there tryouts/assessments?

Yes, the coaches will assess the player's abilities during summer clinics and tryouts/assessments and select their roster numbering between 8-12 players. However, the coach is not required to carry a full roster if he/she feels a player is not developed enough to compete at their age level.

Why set limits?

This allows the coaches to develop the players and the team as a whole. The better team sizes offer more playing time for each member of the team as well as improving the opportunities for player development.

What if there is not a team?

Every effort will be made to make a team which is primarily dependent upon the number of qualified coaches. IF no team is made due to lack of registrations or qualified coaches, then your fee will be returned.

When are practices?

There will be two practices a week (Monday & Thursday) until games begin per court availability. Once games begin we will try to still have a practice once a week.

Who are the qualified coaches and assistant coaches for the teams?

Qualified coaches and assistant coaches for the teams are parents who have met LHC board review, and agree and abide by our statement of faith and code of conduct. If you are interested in coaching to help your daughter to have a chance to be on a team, please send an email to lhcvball@gmail.com with your name and contact information.
